The chapel choir of Trinity College is one of the finest non-auditioning choirs in Oxford. Comprised of some 30 members mainly drawn from Trinity College, the Choir’s regular commitment is to sing weekly Evensong in the beautiful chapel of Trinity College. Outside of this the choir has a busy schedule of concerts with recent performances of Faure’s Requiem, Vivaldi’s Gloria and Mozart’s Requiem. The choir also undertakes an annual tour and in recent years has visited Budapest, Madrid, Kraków and Cologne. The choir currently profits from workshops with Ralph Allwood MBE. As the advisor to chapel music Ralph has been crucial to inspiring the choir and Organ Scholars. In addition to our permanent choral scholars, current members are entitled to choral exhibitions that focus on applying the correct technique to their singing. This is something that is of course hugely beneficial to both the overall sound and the singers’ enjoyment! The choir has an ever-expanding discography with a CD of European Sacred Music being the latest addition. The choir is directed by the two Organ Scholars.
